Apart from our interest in holding local tournaments, we would also like to raise awareness among Santa Feans to the intrigue and appeal of the game.
Club volunteers have already brought Go to:
- middle schoolers as part of the Citizen Schools program this past Fall (2010)
- students at Dixon Elementary as part of their Arts Program this Spring 2011.
and we are working on other after school programs at area schools, see Go in Schools
We would also like to participate in local events when appropriate as we have sometimes with the Japanese Culture Festival (Matsuri). As your plans may develop, please contact us if you have any ideas on how we might collaborate.
