NM State Go Championship

Aldea Community Center

Aldea Community Center

On Saturday November 3, we are pleased to be holding the NM State Go Championship – a three round AGA rated tournament.  Qualified players will compete in even games in the Open Section to determine the NM State Champion. Qualified players are currently full members of the AGA with at least 6 months residency in New Mexico in the past 12 months. Out of state players are welcome too.

While stronger players are encouraged to register for the Open Section, all playing strengths, including beginners, are welcome in the Handicap Section, where prizes will be awarded to any deserving players!

We will provide a free box lunch for online registrants so registering online at http://goclubs.org is strongly recommended.

Check-in will start at 9:00 am at the Aldea Community Center, with the first round scheduled to start at 10:00 am. Register online now at GoClubsOnline. Players can pay any AGA, tournament or Santa Fe Go Club fees during registration via PayPal/Credit Card or on the day with cash or checks. Directions are also available in the online details of the tournament.

Please note that AGA IDs should be obtained for non-AGA members beforehand. If you don’t yet have an AGA Number or wish to renew we strongly recommend you visit the AGA ahead of time at https://www.usgo.org/members/join

Email me at rjcord1@gmail.com with any questions.

More information on our tournaments is also available above under ‘Tournaments’.

The Game Thing Now Three Nights a Week

Santa Fe Gamers is a meetup group for Gamers of all backgrounds. It’s fun and FREE to join! They have three standing game nights each week: The Game Thing at 2nd Street at the Rufina Taproom on Mondays, Game Night at the Pub at Rowley Farmhouse Ales on Tuesdays, and Taps & Tabletops at the Jean Cocteau Cinema on Wednesdays. Whether you’re an experienced gamer or new to the hobby, we’ll welcome your participation and expose you to new games and new friends.

While games of all kinds can be played and shared, go playing visitors should take their own Go sets.

There’s more info and a map available at Meetup
